Janssen and Spaans Engineering, Inc. a growing, dynamic transportation engineering consulting firm specializing in bridge, roadway, and civil design has an immediate need for construction inspectors, surveyors, bridge engineers, highway engineers and CAD technicians. Only candidates fulfilling the listed requirements will be considered.

TRAFFIC ENGINEER. JSE is seeking experienced traffic engineers preferably with a BS or MS degree in civil engineering and their Indiana PE License (or be eligible for registration). Experience designing traffic signals, highway signing, and/or lighting in accordance with INDOT procedures is required.

CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR. JSE has openings for experienced construction project engineers/supervisors to inspect and manage INDOT and/or Local Federal Aid construction projects. INDOT Inspection Certifications are required. Past experience with inspection of INDOT and/or Local Federal Aid road and bridge construction projects required.

LICENSED SURVEYOR. JSE is seeking a project manager who is an experienced professional surveyor to manage survey projects. Indiana LS license is required. Past experience with preparation of route survey plats, land plats and legal descriptions for INDOT and LPA projects required.

BRIDGE ENGINEER. JSE is seeking entry level structural engineers with Masters Degrees as well as experienced structural engineers with a BS or MS in civil engineering and Indiana PE license. Experience designing complex bridge structures, concrete segmental bridges, post-tensioned and prestressed structures, cable stayed bridges, complex steel structures; curved girders, and/or box girders is preferred.

HIGHWAY ENGINEER. JSE has openings for entry level as well as experienced road design engineers with a BS or MS degree in civil engineering. Hydraulics design experience preferred. Experience with Autocad, MXROADS and/or Land Development for design modeling is desirable but not required. Experienced candidates should have their Indiana PE license or be eligible for registration.

CAD TECHNICIAN. JSE has openings for experienced CAD technicians that are well versed with Autocad or MicroStation. Experience with structural and civil detailing (rebar, structural steel, post-tensioning, roadway, cross sections, etc.) is required. Experience detailing INDOT road and bridge projects is preferred.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT. JSE is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant. Primary responsibility will be as a receptionist, managing the phone system and providing administrative support to staff. Must be proficient in typing, Microsoft Word and Excel.
